How to make a GIF from images
Add JPG, PNG, or WebP files, put the frames in the order you want, and choose how long each frame should appear. GifPilot normalizes mixed image sizes onto one canvas before encoding the animation.
- Add between 2 and 40 images.
- Move frames up or down without drag-only controls.
- Choose contain, cover, or stretch for mixed dimensions.
- Select palette size and optional dithering.
- Generate, preview, and download the finished GIF.
Choose settings that match the job
For screenshots and flat graphics, a larger palette with no dithering often keeps edges clean. For photos and gradients, dithering can make color transitions look smoother at the cost of visible texture and sometimes a larger file.
GIF timing is stored in hundredths of a second. Very short delays may be rounded by encoders or browsers, so GifPilot keeps the timing controls in a dependable range.
Private by design
The maker does not send your images to a GifPilot server. Files are decoded, resized, and encoded in the browser tab, then released when you remove them or close the page.
GIF maker FAQ
Does GifPilot upload my images?
No. The current maker reads and processes selected files in your browser. It has no upload endpoint, account system, or cloud gallery.
Which image types can I use?
The first release accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP images. Animated GIF import and video conversion are intentionally outside this release.
Why are there size and frame limits?
Decoded animation frames use much more memory than the compressed source files. The limits protect phones and laptops from a frozen or crashed browser tab.
Will GifPilot add a watermark?
No. The downloaded GIF contains only the frames and settings you provide.
